Truth 1: Welcome to the World (Contd..)

“We are very Sorry…” and their hearts started sinking “… but we can’t go for a normal delivery. We will have to operate.” The man like had a smile on his face and tears in his eyes. With an obvious excitement he said “Yes, Yes sure. Just get my baby in this world and relieve my wife from the pain.” With immediate effect, a nurse brought all the papers necessary and got it signed from the man. In the meanwhile the lady was shifted from the labor room to the operation theatre. The same silence occupied the space and God again became a part of the scene. All of a sudden the silence was broken by the baby’s cry that ensured its coming to life. The family was eagerly waiting for the Doc to come and give the good news. All the eyes were fixed on the operation theatre. And here came the hero of the whole scene - The Doctor. Typically the most important character whose words are the most awaited ones. And the words were – “It was a successful caesarian delivery.” They all jumped to happiness to hear that everything went good. Now the second thing they were inquisitive about was whether it was a boy or a girl child. Not that it made any difference to them but they did want to know that. Now it was the time to come that is considered to be the most beautiful one in the life span of a husband and a wife. The moment that gives a couple a new name– “Family”. The man silently entered the room as he didn’t want to disturb his wife. After all he could see all the respite on her face after a long long time. He slowly went towards the baby in the cradle. What a strange feeling he had to see a creature with such tiny features! He got that sense of belongingness. Without getting disturbed by anything, the lady opened her eyes with a pleasant smile on her face. She told him to lift the child. He somehow managed to do that and brought the baby near to the happy Mom. Now it was the mother’s chance to hold the baby in her arms. This was a perfect family picture with the most genuine smile and moist eyes. They were delighted to have in their life an Angel. Yes, you guessed it right. It was a baby girl. The girl who has become my soul mate. I don’t know where she is but she will always be connected heart. Her parents later named her Stuti. I am Aseem and this is her story.

Truth 1 - Welcome to the World (Contd...)

By the grace of good God, their prayers were granted and they finally reached the Doctor’s den. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief and was thanking God. But still were worried about the lady and the new being coming into existence. There was no change in the lady’s expressions. She was still crying out of pain. A stretcher was brought and she was taken to the labor room. Normally, her fears should have lessened but NO, she had the greatest fright now as she had to leave her husband’s hand to whom she was married for 3 long years. Their married life was not too great. The man followed a principle of “Work is God!” and the three years of that lady’s life were all spent waiting for her husband with the food kept on table that she really didn’t know how to make. Like her husband, she also made work an integral part of her life and started enjoying it. These two well-educated partners were about to have their first kid whom they wanted to be doubly educated than them. They already had their own set of dreams for their child. The tension in the atmosphere was increasing and the hospital staff was seen coming out of the labor room and then going in again with the medical equipments. The family members could just exchange looks and nothing else. They were very helpless. Suddenly all of them were spotted looking at only one person – “The Doctor”. He had come out of the labor room with those normal looks but in a very unpleasant tone started discussing with the lady’s husband “We are very sorry ...”

Truth 1 - Welcome to the World

It was a bright sunny noon of 14th August, 1986, that suddenly there was a hustle and bustle in the house. The shrieking sound of the car brakes in the parking area and a man running towards a lady, who was crying out of pain, to catch hold of her. They both shared a relationship of husband and wife and it was nothing but a labor pain. Her sister accompanied her and all the oldies stayed back home praying for the well being of their girl. She was only 23 years of age at that time and was a pretty simple girl with a glowing skin that nurtured even more during her pregnancy. She also had a fear on her face and was crying aloud. The tears and sweat on her face were making her hair wet giving her the only one of its kind beauty that her husband was missing. He too had the same panic in his heart. The only thing that he wanted was to take his wife and child safely to the hospital. It was a white FIAT rushing on the road, leaving the traffic behind. Alongwith the anxiety creeping up in the minds of the family and the ear-splitting cry of the would-be-mother, gradually the weather of the town was also changing its temper. The cool breeze was gradually taking up its speed and was turning to a blowing wind. Heavy rains lashed the city too. At the same time people inside the car were stressed up as they could actually see the water levels going up on the street. They were merely praying to Lord Indra for a favourable climate so that they reach safely to the hospital.

Prologue

A sun-drenched day of Switzerland with open fields, hilly landscapes, a nip in the air and the most attractive girl embracing the nature. It feels like she is searching for someone. Her eyes are clearly depicting the desire for... for what? I really wonder what it is. Ah! Here comes the "for" with open arms, a dimpled smile and twinkling eyes. She runs towards the man to hold him in her arms. I must say - a perfect scene from DDLJ. Oh! But look what happens! All of a sudden, a stone comes in her way making her roll down the valley. She hits an obstacle and stops there. Soaked with fear, she opens her eyes and gazes around. Beer bottles lying empty on the floor, cigarette buds brimming over the ashtray and here she murmurs with a grin - "This is me. This is the truth!"
